This is a very unique and well built jeep. This jeep has been completely gone through. I have actually owned it a couple of times. I bought it the first time in 2008 and then back again in 2013. After the second purchase myself and my friend went through everything. I literally have crawled through every square inch of this vehicle. It has taken me on epic trips, and to some amazing locations. It's been to the easter jeep safari multiple times and has always driven me home. This vehicle has been such a big part of my life and it is in such good shape i wouldn't hesitate to take it anywhere. I've followed the newer jeeps without hesitation. It is simple to work on and cheap to keep running. What makes this jeep special is the combination of the 4cyl engine, the teralow 4:1 transfer case reduction kit, and the ox lockers. The gearing is set up perfectly. Here is an extensive list of what is on this jeep. This wrangler has been such a blast to own. Anyone that is looking to get into offroading would have a great time getting started in this. Here's the pros and cons, pros: 3 inch lift, hard top, 161,000 miles, sidesteps, tubular front bumper, 12,000 lb winch w/controller, custom speakers, bluetooth stereo, seat covers, bikini top, regularly serviced, just had the exhaust system tuned up, the steering column replaced with a brand new one, and put in new engine mounts (i have paperwork for those last few things) cons: like any old jeep, it has a few small quirks. There's a little rust on the doors under the windows, this is pretty standard for a yj, the left blinker needs a new fuse, the back hatch doesn't stay open on its own, and there are no side view mirrors currently mounted (i have two pairs that i will give away with it) it starts up perfectly the first time every time, i will also be getting the brakes done this week before i sell it. Rubicon 10th anniversary and moab editions join lineup. introductionthe jeep wrangler is arguably older than anything beyond pickup trucks, tracing its roots to field duty 70 years ago. Wrangler has been modernized with a contemporary engine, electronics inside and underneath, and the body panels are now artfully curved for stiffness while appearing flat. however, the wrangler remains the most maneuverable and trail capable vehicle from a showroom and will go places most owners don't dare drive. The delta in wheelbase (the distance from front wheel center to rear) is similar to that between a regular cab and crew cab pickup. heated leather upholstery is available for wrangler. No jeeper ever had it quite like this. all wranglers are powered by chrysler's 24-valve 3. 6-liter v6, here rated at 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. There's a choice of 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission. Indeed, they will travel the interstate with a modicum of comfort and civility but that's not what they're built for. Wranglers are better suited to all-weather urban runabouts, those living on a beach or off the grid or beaten path, or for those whose idea of a freeway is a fast section of dry wash or graded dirt run in 2wd.
