This loaded volt has heated leather seats, bose stereo, navigation, safety package 1 (backup camera and sensors), and the rare safety package 2 (forward parking assist, collisions alert, and lane departure warning). For shorter drives they are actually cheaper to drive than any cng car. This car has the low-emissions package which allows it qualify for free parking in downtown slc, along with the hov lane access sticker. While it only has 149 horsepower, the electric motor puts out 273 lb-ft of torque. The volt charges at home using the included 120v charger. Once it is on gasoline it still acts like a hybrid, shutting off the gas motor when not in use. The gasoline motor is not directly linked to the wheels. It acts as a generator, creating electricity to drive the electric motor. Chevy has really done their homework with these cars. The batteries are monitored very closely to keep them charging efficiently. They include an eight year / 100,000 miles warranty on the battery.
